6 months agoEPIC TRAIL VALL DE BOÍ Sembla mentida que en una cursa puguin passar tantes coses. El dia abans es modifica el recorregut per la preocupant previsió meteorològica (Es rebaixa a 40km i +2.500) Tota la nit plovent i llampegant. A primera hora del matí escampa i a les 7.30h tret de sortida KM 8 - Comença a ploure i a baixar la temperatura. Toca posar impermeable KM 10 - El fail del dia. Un error indescriptible de la organització provoca que desenes de corredors anem per la ruta errònea encarant tota la pujada al Corronco. Quan reculem ja és tard, 45 minuts perduts i 600 metres positius de més A partir d'aquí la cursa queda desnaturalitzada, la desmotivació és general i seguim corrent per inèrcia KM 25 - Pluja torrencial, llamps i pedregada. 20 minuts parats a l'avituallament de Taüll i amb el convenciment que al pròxim avituallament a Erill la Vall es neutralitza la cursa KM 25 a KM 30 - Baixada tècnica i enfangada. Les relliscades són una constant KM 30 - Avituallament de Erill la Vall. Sorprenentment la cursa no es neutralitza i toca encarar la part més dura de totes KM 30 a KM 43 - Gas a fons fins a meta intentant salvar una cursa on ja rès té gaire lògica. Aconsegueixo recuperar 62 posicions i acabar amb un temps de 7 hores i 10 minuts Balanç de 43KM i +3.100 Sembla que tocarà descansar unes setmanes ara 😴 #valldeboí #trailrunning

4 months agoI left Warsaw, my hometown in June of 2006 to join Arsenal with one dream - to make a living out of football. Little did I know it would be a start of a journey of a lifitime. Little did I know that I would get to play for the biggest clubs in the world and represent my country 84 times. Little did I know that not only would I make a living out of the game but the game would become my whole life. I didn’t just realise my dreams, I’ve arrived where my imagination wouldn’t even dare to take me. I played the game at the highest level with the best players in history without ever feeling inferior. I’ve made friends for life, created unforgetable memories and met people who have made an incredible impact on my life. Everything that I have and everything that I am I owe to the beautiful game of football… But I also gave the game all I had. I gave the game 18 years of my life, everyday, without excuses. Today, although my body still feels ready for challenges, my heart is not there anymore. I feel that right now it is time to give all of my attention to my family - my amazing wife Marina and our two beautiful children Liam and Noelia. Therefore I have decided to retire from professional football. A journey’s end is a time for reflection and gratitude. There’s a lot of people that I would have to thank in this spot but I will try to that personally with each one of them. But to you - the fans I owe a special thank you for being on this journey with me. For the support and criticism, for the love and hate, for being the most beautiful and romantic part of football. Without you non of this would make any sense! Thank you! Now, every story has an end but in life every ending is a new beggining. What this new path will bring for me only the time will tell. But if the last 18 years have taught me anything it is that nothing is impossible and believe me, I’m going to dream BIG!

Nie wiedziałam również, że będę dzielić życie z LEGENDĄ polskiej piłki nożnej. To była ogromna przyjemność wspierać Cię przez 11 lat Twojej wspaniałej kariery! I obserwować jak dojrzewasz piłkarsko, ale przede wszystkim jako człowiek, mąż i ojciec. Dostarczyłeś całej naszej rodzinie niezapomnianych wrażeń i wielkich emocji, za które Ci ogromnie dziękujemy. Dla nas zawsze będziesz bohaterem, a w szczególności dla naszego synka, w którym zaszczepiłeś miłość do piłki nożnej. Tylko najbliższa rodzina zawodników jest w stanie zrozumieć jakie to jest ogromne poświęcenie, grać na tak wysokim poziomie przez wiele lat. Dlatego wspieramy Twoją decyzję, pomimo iż jest nam trochę przykro, że nie będziemy mogli Cię więcej podziwiać na boisku. Coś się kończy, ale… dla naszej czwórki dopiero zaczyna. Jesteśmy tym faktem bardzo podekscytowani! 5 months agoLos sueños se cumplen…✨ No sabíamos si seríamos capaces de lograrlo y desde luego no ha sido fácil. Quiero dar las gracias a mis compañeras por ser luz y empujar hacia este sueño que ha estado lleno de sacrificio, retos y muchísimo trabajo. Gracias por el compromiso, la ilusión y el deseo de subir a lo más alto. Formar parte de este equipo es un regalo y sin duda, hemos hecho historia. Por otro lado, me gustaría agradecer a mi familia y amigos por todo su apoyo y por levantarme cuando no quedaban fuerzas. Ha sido un año muy difícil y habéis sido mi refugio. Sois de oro. Gracias también a todos los que nos habéis seguido, apoyado y vibrado con nosotras. Ha sido increíble todo el cariño y apoyo que hemos recibido. 3 months agoThis is how you use your breath to your advantage 🌬️  The initial cold shock of cold water activates your “fight or flight” response. 👉 Counter it with slow, intentional breaths 👉 Focus on prolonging each breath, especially the exhale Longer exhales means a stronger calming response, aim for a 4-second inhale followed by a 6-second exhale. If you practice this breathing technique regularly, especially outside the ice bath, you’ll notice that your cold exposure sessions will improve 🙏 Do you combine breathing exercises with cold exposure?
