2 months agoSlow Throw - age 55, November 2, 2024, 9:36 am 🌺CAUTION: THIS VIDEO IS FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY. THE EXERCISE(S) CAN BE DANGEROUS. PLEASE VIEW WITH DISCRETION. 6 months ago my right shoulder was so tight and sore that I couldn’t throw a ball properly. I reduced my training by 80%, increased my sleep by 25%, and focused on fixing my feet and my shoulders. Things have gotten better, but the internal AND external rotation in my shoulders is still weak, so the combination of the @shogun_sports FLEX cable units with resistance bands are perfect for practicing “slow” throws, punches, and horizontal rotations. The resistance bands give the chains of muscle more time to organize themselves around the movement. The resistance bands are also good for adding length to the distance the cables can be pulled because rotational core exercises need more standoff distance due to the offset angle. I’m using @shogun_sports FLEX electronic cable resistance units, but this exercise works great with regular cable machines as well. More information on the Shogun FLEX can be found in my bio. Aloha 🏄‍♂️

2 months agoCables + Elastics - age 55, November 2, 2024, 10:27 am 🌺CAUTION: THIS VIDEO IS FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY. THE EXERCISE(S) CAN BE DANGEROUS. PLEASE VIEW WITH DISCRETION. This is the exercise that brought me back from cancer and chemo back in 2013. I had my ascending colon removed so sit ups, leg raises, and anything else that bent me at the waist were out for a long time. Besides my core getting weak, my arms and legs were weak and unstable, so standing rotations were perfect because I could strengthen all these issues with one powerful move. During this time I was also stiff and sore, so using elastic resistance bands gave these complex chains of muscle more time to organize themselves around the movement. The elastic bands are also good for adding length to the distance the cables can be pulled because rotational core exercises need more standoff distance due to the offset angle. I’m using @shogun_sports FLEX electronic cable resistance units, but this exercise works great with regular cable machines as well. More information on the @shogun_sports FLEX can be found in my bio. Flow60, all-in one practice for more peace, release negative emotions & workout the body in 60 mins or less 60 Day Body Mind Transformation👇

2 months agoThis clip was from a week long retreat I hosted earlier this year in bali where I shared my story about how I learned what a judgement was. (Next one in May 2025) Learning how to let go of judgments has been one of the most impactful things That I’ve done to increase the quality of my life. For the longest time I thought judgment was thinking bad about something or someone. I trained my mind to learn how to think positive and see the “bright side of things. “ In July 2017, I got rid of all my stuff and was living mostly out of my van and traveling to different places in the United States. One day I was sitting in my van and I read chapter 11 of power of now by Elkhart Tolle and had an epiphany about judgments. I realize that judgments was when I gave meaning two things, labels to people and situations, it was my opinion or other peoples opinion about something, but it wasn’t what the “thing” really is. When I judge something, I put it in a box and say that this is what it is in it couldn’t be anything else. Even if everybody in the world would agree with my judgment, it doesn’t make it the truth. It’s still a judgment or a mental label on something. This realization changed the course of my personal development and also made me realize how much work I needed to do. After many years of working towards this goal of letting go of judgments, did I start to understand the source of where they were coming from and how to be able to let go of judgments faster. This goal is not an easy task and while most people will agree that judging things is not good, most will not actually attempt to cut it out of their life. It’s either too much work or they just don’t know how to do it. But there is a way. And people everyday are learning how to do it. It takes a lot of work and dedication and even if you accomplish it, it doesn’t mean you’ll gain more wealth, fame, or have more things. All you gain is inner peace and fulfillment. If that is valuable for you and you want me to help you with it, go to my bio to get more info.

2 months agoFind a exercise routine that you can do every single day and keep doing it until your body remembers how to do it just as good as your mind. Good exercise habit is all about consistency, and consistency is all about making things easier to complete, or another words removing the roadblocks, the friction. The reason why I’m usually only do 60 exercises every day is not because I don’t know other exercises. It’s because I have a busy lifestyle and a lot of other responsibilities so therefore I don’t want to spend all of my time and effort focusing on exercising. Instead I do the necessary amounts needed to maintain a certain level of health that I find satisfactory at the moment for me. If you’re the type that loves the train for hours every day then this approach is not for you. However, if you’re like me and you like to spend your time and other areas of your life, but want to be healthy and strong as well, then something like this Would be perfect for you. Your routine doesn’t need to be 60 exercises. It could be more or less. At the end of the day it just needs to give you the benefits that you’re looking for. When I was younger, I used to only care about having muscles and having low body fat. As I got older, not only did I want to maintain those things, I also valued mobility, longevity, and the health of my mind and emotions. The 60 exercises that I do every day allows me to accomplish all of these goals in one practice. There are some follow along on my YouTube channel. If you like to learn from me directly, check out my 60 day program in my bio.
