For "God Of Oceans" we used 7 different malts combining a malty and biscuity base with roasted,chocolate and dark crystal malts to create a big ,bold and dark juice . We then dosed this  black and chewy broth with mountains of coffee beans (specially roasted for us by @caffettiera) , toasted and caramelised bananas for the bananas foster effect and we gave a final touch with some caramel for the dulce de leche experience . Every sip of this monster is an experience of layers and layers of different flavors and aromas of banana,coffee and caramel followed by big chocolate character and roasty and sweet profile . 8 months agoMany of you that have followed me before I even started going to college know that I have always found it extremely important to donate to charity but deciding which charity has always been a personal preference and really, I had just been hoping that what I donate actually helps those in need but I never really knew with certainty. This year I decided to take an Effective Altruism class in order to learn how to do the most good and how to give most effectively, very early on we had to read “Famine, Affluence, and Morality” a piece written by Peter Singer and it completely changed my entire outlook. I know donating to charity seems fruitless, and I know that sometimes it seems like you’re just one person and your $5 dollar donation won’t make a difference, but I am here to tell you it will. Thanks to GiveWell.Org, the tractability of your donation has never been more transparent. My goal is to raise funds to help save human lives in the most effective way possible but I need your help, please donate if you can even a dollar, share this post, and together we CAN directly save those who need our help most. This is so important to me♥️ (The last slide an excerpt from a reflection paper I wrote my Effective Altruism class) Also shoutout to William Macaskill for writing “Doing Good Better” and for teaching Effective Altruism to the masses. 5 years ago(Prints Available in USA & UK, link in bio) 300 YEARS LATER 31 x 31 inches Ink on frosted mylar 2019 (Original Sold) I wanted to make a landscape based upon the ending of Urashima Taro, a Japanese folktale. In this story, Urashima returns to his homeland after traveling thru a watery underworld for just 3 days. As his footsteps fall upon the shore, he realizes that he does not recognize the landscape and cannot find anyone he knows. 300 years have past, in his grief he opens a box he was given during his journey.  Within a cloud of white smoke, he is instantly aged (and in some versions dies.) I think about this as I travel back to my hometown. Forests and things are not the same and many times already unrecognizable.  When I imagine what this could look like in some distant future my mind travels to the places I’ve hiked and journeyed that seem both ancient and surreal. This work combines two locations, vast heights of Bryce Canyon’s Navajo Loop Trail and the cracked earth surrounding Yellowstone’s Mud pots.

a year agoHOME. This maple tree saved my life. Story, inspiration and hidden secrets 👇 It started like a typical day in my childhood home in Indiana. I was let out the door to roam the forests, fields, lakes and little creeks that surrounded our house with a warning to stay behind the house and away from the road. So of course, being the well- behaved child I was, I ran out the back door and promptly to our front yard. There, right beside the road, I looked under a large maple tree for “helicopter” seeds. My search was disturbed by loud screeching and squealing noises. I looked up and saw a car zig-zagging across the road in the distance. The next thing I knew, it was right before me, front fender bent around the tree I was playing under. I jumped up, ran inside the front door and immediately told my mother about it, only to realize a minute too late she knew I hadn’t listened to her rule. Without a word she went to the phone and called the cops. Once the police arrived, my mother sent them right over to me and I broke down in tears, saying I would promise to listen to my mother and stay in the backyard. The cop was like “that’s fine, just tell me what you saw” I was so relieved when they arrested the other dude and not me. All my mom said was ”He is drunk idiot and you were lucky today.” This tree and I continued to grow together. It is much loved and am grateful for it. It stirs poetry in my heart and have many more memories beneath it.
