I say this as someone who drools over the idea of "balance" but has never managed to achieve it for more than a few weeks at a time.

I suddenly understand why some entrepreneurs retire. It's not that they dislike the work. It's that they cannot do things halfway. The best entrepreneurs completely obsess over things. They devote their lives to solving some problem. Since balance isn't possible, they stop.
