a year agoHappiness lies, not in the ideas or outcomes we hope to one day experience, but in the choices we make and the actions we take now in order to live a life we inherently desire. Unhappiness then, would be a result of conducting a life we don’t inherently desire. So, if happiness is the compound interest of the choices and actions in favor of the life you desire and unhappiness is the compound interest of the choices and actions that oppose the life you desire, then it is fair to say that on some level the only thing in the way of your happiness, is you.
