a year agoI don't know where to begin, so let's start with this. This moment is 10-year-old Ruby's dream come true. Ruby who collected second-hand dog-eared copies of books by the remarkable @penguinrandomhouse —unaware that one day they would publish her book too. Unreal. I can't begin to explain how I'm feeling. My emotions are all over the place, my heart is beating ten-fold and I can feel a sliver of nerves shooting through me —this is everything I have worked for. Everything. I am so, SO happy, nervous, proud, over-the-moon and excited to announce that my book is finally coming out into the world on 13 June 2024 and is available to pre-order! I've worked on 'The Path to Self-Love' tirelessly for the last two years and it has been the hardest thing I've done —but I can't limit it to those two years alone. This book is an accumulation of my life's experiences, emotions, hard lessons and growth —that have shaped my healing journey— which I've transformed into a nourishing and honest guide that will heal your heart, unlock your inner strength, and help you harness the power of self-love to transform all areas of your life. a year agoHappy Healing. This piece is a revamp of my original piece ‘The Plan’ from my book, ‘My Hope for Tomorrow’. I wrote that piece about our relationships and how sometimes those can fall apart and cause us a lot of pain —but what we don’t realise is that everything happens for a reason. All our experiences are leading us towards something that is right for us. All those broken relationships, those heartbreaks, those losses and those gains —they all serve a purpose. And while originally this piece was for those who experienced the loss of someone special —whether this was a friend, a lover or a family member— I wanted to re-write this to extend it to all our experiences in life. Not just our losses in love or friendship but in general too. Because it’s all connected. Everything. The hardest moments in our life prepare us for the best. The biggest heartbreaks make room for new love. And the friendships we leave behind are chapters we close so that we can open new ones. That’s all there is to it.
