2 years agoI love this game and my friends and family.
On October 6th, 2021 in a pre-season practice, I landed awkwardly and suffered a grade 5 knee dislocation. I tore my ACL, MCL, PCL and both meniscus with femoral damage. Nearly losing my leg, I was told by my surgeon that the procedure was to ensure I could play with my children when I’m older but not to play basketball. January 24th, 2023 I played my first game.
Believe in you and work for the things you love. Life has a funny way of teaching you to grow. Accept that daily challenge and put in what you want out. You can’t change the past, but you can get better from the things you endure. I hope other athletes and people can see my journey and use it as a tool to navigate the challenges in life. If you want something good, get it from yourself.
Thank you to my friends and family who have supported me the past 67 weeks and continue to do so. 💚
