2 months agoLeaf print jeans V1 - @levis 501’s First attempt on jeans, not denim, I went for a more textured look, I didn’t want the leaves to be so visible individually as it then makes the pair have like a floral theme, and in my mind could limit the outfits its worn with, however with the more textured approach, factoring in the cut of jeans which is a straight fit, when worn the jeans will fall and fold down, further obscuring the definition of the leaves. The jeans become more versatile as it’s just seen a type of wash, only up close can you see they are individual leaves placed like a mosaic. 2nd to last is the original Levi’s tab, compared to mine, there’s a lot of directions that my tabs could go, even something as simple as changing the way I stitched it on makes an impact, so that will need some time and development too. . . . . . . . . . . . . #handmade #1of1 #leafprint #hoodie #fitcheck #aestheticawareness #drip #fallfits #camo #levijeans #denimleafprint #bleachleaf #bleachleafhoodie

2 months agoThank you Beyoncé… Now that’s out the way, this is just some process shots of the leaf print camo being applied to some 501’s. Was a first attempt on jeans I want to do a few more versions to perfect it, such as the backtab, I have this beautiful piece of black leather I wanted to use, but at the same time light blue jeans with a black backtab ? Could come off looking cheap? I quite liked how simple the tab is looking now but even with its simplicity it can look richer with better materials and a debossing process over ink stamping, maybe even burning if it’s suede. I know a lot of people are doing the leaf print process as a trend now, but this is not me just applying a leaf print to anything for the sake of it, there are properties to this process that are best suited for the idea I’m trying to achieve, usually aged denim is added to with patches and repairs, however I’m intentionally subtracting to create a design, but I am interested in Japanese practices with denim such as boro stitching so these methods will soon be intertwined with future iterations. . . . . . . . . #handmade #1of1 #leafprint #hoodie #fitcheck #aestheticawareness #drip #fallfits #camoflauge #realtreecamo #levijeans #denimleafprint #bleachleaf #bleachleafhoodie
