4 years ago* 2024: Pinning this here cuz Israel still the grimmest of reapers & the US still don’t care. 2021: What’s a ceasefire when bombs are but one manifestation of a violence? When the root of a violence is still there under the earth, breaking out the ground in a myriad of ways? That which allows the incineration of children, also allows for keeping concrete out of bombed out neighborhoods, & arresting 500 Isr**l* citizens for being P*l*st*n**n, & all happen for the same purpose & none of it will fully cease until the root is addressed. Anti-nationalism. Anti-oppression. Anti-colonialism. Anti-apartheid & anti-anything-“like apartheid”. & damn right I’m anti-Netanyahu using the religious faith of good people all over the globe & a caping Joe Biden & US government to shield a country from being called out for forced ethnic displacement & killing people, especially children. & none of these are synonymous with anti-Semitism. Yes. It’s immensely important to be informed on what is happening in this world. & of great importance in the age we’re in to know our news sources & the legitimacy of the news coming before us, & not simply resharing. That has the very great reality of doing more damage, & also removes ourselves from the opportunity to increase our knowledge & empathy––news is not there to share but to inform, & it’s ourselves we must first inform. But. Don’t feel nor be made to feel that you can’t speak on horrors around you, that all of us know to be wrong, just cuz you may not know all the inner workings of a situation. & if you fear this happening & need to know, then learn it. & we can be wrong about what we’ve learned, & we can be educated on history. Which is alright. What aint wrong though, is that tinge in the gut whatever size it may vary in any of us that surfaces when we see atrocities ocurring. & those atrocities it is imperative for us to recognize & to not go quiet upon them. *Comments are regulated, as I’ve no desire or space to be moderating racist ass shit nor believe that a vacuum bedroom run by capitalistic colonial tech bro algorithms to be a place where actual conversation & dialogue can actually occur.

8 months agoShe sits in me, always. Unknowing if alive or a martyr. Like many of the children I have borne witness too over this half of a year. They sit in me, in my bones, in my nerves, under my skin, against my muscles inside my lungs inside my heart. All this extra weight, this extra song, these gallons of tears, and gales of laughter, gales of anguish, their want and love and dream and shine, all of it is in me, my body hurts, my body tired. Six months my body has carried them, my body hurts my body tired, I can’t sleep, and when I do it’s a farce, like the unseen world is whispering to me “sleep? you dare? sleep is not for you, not for any of you who could let these children be slaughtered, these children be orphaned, these children amputeed, how dare you” How dare us. How dare they. Mumia: “There is something shattering about the death, the killing, of a child. When a child dies the natural order is torn, the stars weep and the earth quakes. We have become so accustomed to this system we suppose it is natural instead of a human imposition. Politicians in the pocket of so called police unions bow before bags of silver and blink away the death of a child – especially if a black child. “What man-made institution is more precious than a child? What job? What so called profession? What office? What state? When a child dies, adults don’t deserve to breathe their stolen air. When a child dies, the living must not rest until they have purged the poison that dared harm such a one. When a child dies, time runs backward and attempts to right such a wrong. “This should inspire movements worldwide to fight like never before. For something vile has happened before our eyes.“
