7 months agoThanks to @telegraph for featuring me in their How I Spend it series. The reason I did this is that I want to normalise that most “rich people” actually live very very simple lives. A lot of people think rich people spend their money on Lambos and fancy watches but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Wealth is just a tool to decide how to spend your time. So yes, work insanely hard to get rich, money is an amazing thing and you should 100% make it a goal. But realise that it is mainly a voting tool for how you spend your time rather than the things you can buy. P.S I genuinely think having a “help someone fund” is one of the biggest Cheatcodes in life. It can be £10 a week but the emotional and mental returns you get from it are incredible! P.P.S I do not eat 150 eggs a week, I know I’m Ghanaian but I’m not that bad. The purchase was for the next 3 weeks.

2 years agoGrowing up as a kid on Old Kent Road, I read about many of my inspirations in these types of magazines. I’d stay in WHSmith reading for hours from cover to cover because the magazines were out of my budget to buy. Now to be on the cover of the biggest business magazine in the UK...surreal AF 🤯 There are a lot of people who haven’t committed to their dreams because of a fear of failure. Or because they don’t have the full path mapped out. The truth is you can never quite predict where your results will take you but you can at least control your inputs. You can control your focus and your effort. You can control how humble you are to learn from the OGs. And you can control being better today than you were yesterday. If this can inspire and drive one person to commit and go for whatever their dreams are...then it’s done it’s job. But they’re often just seeing a fraction of the bigger picture, shaped by what they want to believe. I’m telling you, there’s real strength in holding back, resisting the urge to jump in with answers or snap judgments.   Successful people make decisions by digging into the full story first—and only if it truly deserves their energy. Waiting for clarity shows a respect that’s so often missing—respect for others, for ourselves, and for a world that’s too layered to be pinned down by anyone’s quick opinions.   Here’s a trick for you: next time someone makes a bold claim, ask them for an example. It’s a simple way to put what they’re saying to the test. If they can provide a concrete example where their idea holds up, you know there’s substance there. A continuation from yesterday’s post: Not all connections and “situation-ships” are with unhealthy people wasting your time. Our time is ours to protect. This is how we become responsible for carving our paths. You cannot build with someone who can’t do the basics of building or who isn’t invested enough in you to do so.
