5 months agoI changed the background on an earlier piece done this year, “Something between the pages”, as well as the background on the small study of it. The pictures are not doing the piece justice as it’s making the background look darker. But I like how these changed backgrounds changed the piece for the better ❣️ 48 x 78 inches 8 x 10 inches (study)

6 months agoalbertz benda is delighted to announce our participation in this year's edition of the 1-54 Art Fair in London, where we will be showcasing a presentation of works by the Los Angeles-based artist, Rugiyatou Jallow.⁠ ⁠ Jallow hails from Sweden and is of mixed heritage: her mother is Swedish and her father, who was her primary caregiver, is from the Gambia. She comes from a matrilineal line of creatives: her mother and grandmother both painted, which instilled in her a love for the medium since she was a child.
