3 months agoI’m not usually one to express my feelings, especially on social media, but I valued our relationship so much that I feel I have to. Our bond was deeply rooted in the childhood relationship that our fathers had. Growing up, whenever we had the chance to hang out, we made the most of it. From throwing parties together because both of our birthdays were in March, to just goofing around at 258 or Brower Park—we always found a way to have fun. When you moved to ATL, we’d only see each other once or twice a year, but every time we linked up, it was like no time had passed. You would share stories about your college experience at A&T, and how much you loved the HBCU life. Even though you weren’t feeling your best physically over the years, your energy and high spirits never changed. You kept doing the things you loved, and you were always such an incredible person who truly valued friendship and family. Whenever I needed to vent about something, you were always there to listen and offer your thoughts. You were the kind of friend who walked in when others walked out. Everyone who had the privilege of being around you could feel the love you had for your friends and family. The hardest part of life is saying goodbye to the people you imagined growing old with—the ones you thought you’d kick it with until the end. Sierra, you and I always pictured us growing old together, just like our fathers, and keeping that same bond that made us family. Even though you’re no longer here with me physically, the amazing memories we created together will never fade. I’m so glad I got to spend time with you earlier this year for your 23rd birthday. We gained an angel on September 10, 2024. Rest easy, Sierra. I Love You.. You’ll always be with me. #LongLiveSie 🕊️
