2 years agoDear Nana,
I wanted to write you a letter in hopes that it makes it straight to heaven. We miss you, I miss you, everyone misses you. I never thought you would not be apart of my every day life and I’m not sure how to navigate life without you around. Who’s going to pray for me as much as you did? Who going to correct me when I’m talking to fast? Who’s going to teach me how to clean better than you? Who’s going to say yes when I call for a ridiculous amount of money?
I remember when I was young you, my mom, and I would come home late at night when it was dark outside and I’d call your house to see if you got in your house safely even though you only lived upstairs. I always wanted to make sure MY NANA was safe. Now I have the urge to call heaven and make sure you got there safe too.
I just want to say THANK YOU for being the greatest nana in the whole wide world. You did your part and it doesn’t go unnoticed THANK YOU for showing up for me at every and anything in my life time. We surely never went anywhere without you, you came to every single country and school I have ever attended, every recital, every school play, every ceremony, and everyone knew you were my nana. THANK YOU for bringing me up in my Christian walk. I wouldn’t know God without you. You embedded your faith in me and I couldn’t be more blessed for that. I’m so happy as I learned more about the Bible we could talk about the things I learned. THANK YOU for loving me on my good days on my bad days.
Because of you Nana I know love, I know faith, I know courage, I know resilience, I know patience, I know gratitude and I know strength. I love you so much and I will love you until my last breath.
Love YOUR GIRL
Kara
