3 months agoNavigating Halloween with little ones can be a bit tricky, especially since children under 5 years old may have a hard time distinguishing between fantasy and reality. This can make costumes and some decorations too spooky for them. Here are three tips to help you make the holiday fun and friendly👇👻 🎃 Focus on age-appropriate activities, like a daytime visit to a pumpkin patch or painting pumpkins together at home. 👻 Watch for scary decorations in unexpected places, like a neighbor’s yard or the grocery store. ❤️ If your child is frightened, acknowledge their feelings and offer empathy and reassurance. Then, try to gently redirect their attention. You could say something like, “Those decorations are spooky! We’re here to get blueberries and apples.
