a year agoTHIS. I’ve never experienced this kind of shock and pure bliss in my entire life and truthfully I don’t know if I could ever top this moment for as long as I live. Mitch, you are the most incredible human being I’m lucky enough to get to treasure in this lifetime. Let me start with I HAD NOT AN INKLING OF A CLUE that I was about to be proposed to, let alone in Australia!!! - a big part is because Mitch knows me well enough to know my family means everything to me and having them there for a moment like this would always be number 1. When he dropped to his knee I lost it.. but when he takes me to the restaurant his whole family is waiting at and I turn around to see my twin walking towards me her FIRST TIME EVER in Australia I about had a heart attack!! The ugly tears flowed and flowed. BUT IT DOESN’T END THERE. After we cried it out and I was trying so hard to hold it together to take a photo I feel what I thought was Mitch’s hand messing with my hair.. and when I turned around my dad and mom stood there. I swear in that moment my heart stood still and I can’t even watch the video without bawling. My mom is 81 and my dad is in his 70s and hard as it was to accept, never would I have dreamt in my life that they’d be able to make the trip and sit that many hours on a plane to Australia (my dad’s worst nightmare being on a plane that long). And they did that for ME! When I got adopted by my family I was blessed enough to have parents that showed up for me every. single. day. with unconditional and unwavering love. Finding Mitch was so effortlessly the perfect fit- Because there’s not a day Mitch doesn’t do the same. The work and effort Mitch did to pull this all off for months of me not having any clue baffles me. I found a man who was the missing puzzle piece to me. He was instantly family and I already know getting to spend a lifetime with him won’t be long enough. I feel beyond grateful for this type of love. I didn’t know it was possible to feel so whole. Till our hair turns white❤️
