a year agomy DCC journey 💙⭐️ i am forever grateful for everything and everyone that got me here. when i made the decision to leave concert dance, i had no idea what beautiful a community of people i would be stepping into. back in 2021 i decided to audition for DCC with no experience in what they do. i wanted nothing more than to just stand by these girls at auditions and feel the presence of the girls on the team. that one decision lead me to a whole support system that i have never had before. in 2022 i was blessed with the opportunity to be in training camp. i told my mom that year, “if i get to be a part of training camp, all my dreams have come true”. once i spent 2 months with the girls on DCC, i knew i didn’t want to be anywhere else. once i was cut, i trusted that everything happened how it’s meant to be which lead me to an amazing year of growth and challenges. during that year away, those DCC girls never once left my side and i am so grateful for that. in 2023, i chose to lead with enjoyment. i just wanted to be present in every moment because each day is not promised. i wanted to give it all i’ve got so i left with no regrets. words cannot express how thankful i am for this opportunity to represent the cowboys and the DCC organization! every time i see my uniform i am just in awe that it’s mine. this year has already been everything i have ever dreamt of and more!! my love for this team and the girls is unexplainable. thank you to all my coaches, friends, and my parents for getting me here. everything from dance training to pulling me out of my mental breakdowns, i really could not have done it alone. to all the vets (and now alums!) that helped me, i owe you the world. so many pep talks, texting videos, spending your free time with me to practice, all the stuff. you all have hearts of gold and i hope i can do the same and carry that through my time here⭐️🤍 please don’t give up🤍
