2 months agoCutting my hair wasn’t just about aesthetics … it really was more so about shedding the layers of expectations I had been hiding behind and stepping into a new season. You know that conundrum of living up to who people think you are or should be vs. being you AT ALL TIMES and not selectively or behind closed doors. A new season of transparency, empowerment, and self-love. This change reflects my desire to always be real, embrace growth and change, and showing that sometimes, the most powerful transformations happen when we let go of what no longer serves us. I can’t wait for you show you more of what makes me, me.

2 months agoLife imitating art. On November 6, 2024, 43 rhesus macaques escaped from the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in Yemassee, South Carolina. This group, all young and female, evaded their enclosure around 1 p.m., sparking a search effort involving both the facility’s staff and local authorities. The monkeys, weighing only 6-7 pounds each, are unaccustomed to human interaction and described as skittish. Officials are working to lure them back with food, urging locals to avoid the area, keep windows and doors closed, and report any sightings to ensure a safe capture
