for this project, i had the pleasure of collaborating once again with @___gathering___ to rework the asics gel kayano 14. the entire upper suede has been meticulously dyed in a soft pink, while the original mesh panels were replaced with a 60-year-old antique kantha fabric, featuring a rare green and yellow floral print. kantha, a historical fabric similar to the japanese sashiko technique, is made by women, across generations, using old garments, saris, and fabric scraps to craft intricate quilts. this unique fabric was seamlessly integrated into both: the shoe’s panels and the tongue. to complete the look, the shoe was finished with custom cord laces from @allabove.store
