2 months ago“No chalet clichés!” That was the first thing that came to Lauren Santo Domingo’s (@thelsd) mind when she began envisioning her dream ski house in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The ultimate New York City style setter, cofounder of online fashion emporium Moda Operandi, and artistic director of Tiffany Home already had a list of decor don’ts. Lauren and her husband, Andrés Santo Domingo, the cofounder of indie music label Mexican Summer, envisioned a version of rusticity that was more masculine, midcentury, contemporary—more Frank Lloyd Wright than ski bunny. A key moment was meeting #AD100 designer Andre Mellone (@studiomellone). With his record of creating luxurious, cozy lairs using natural elements, Lauren thought he’d be perfect to collaborate on a modernist version of a log cabin. a year agoDeath to Life. Darkness to light. Vanessa serves on our prayer team at Life.Church Online. This month marks one year of her serving and she wanted to celebrate by getting baptized. But she wanted to do it in person with her church family. So she booked a flight from HAITI to Oklahoma just to do so! 🇭🇹➡️🇺🇸 Heres a little bit of what she shared with us: “I live in Haiti. I will be traveling to get baptized. I’ve been part of the Orange Sunday Prayer Team for a while now, and November (the month I want to get baptized) will mark my first year of service. Thanks to my mother and grandmothers, God has always been at the center of my life. I’ve always grown up in the fear of God, and my mother taught me to live as uprightly as possible. Jesus is included in every detail of my life and I can’t even remember the moment I accepted Him as my Savior. Even tough I live in a troubled country, my life has always been full of testimonies and miracles. Therefore, this little box wouldn’t be enough to explain all He has done for me. When I was a little girl, I remember asking God in my prayers to allow me to be “the woman after His own heart” in case He hadn’t found one yet (after learning about David, the man after God’s heart). Lately, I’ve been receiving many signs that Jesus was calling me to discipleship, so I decided it was time for me to obey, to officially die in order to live again in Him, with Him and for Him.” #life #made #new #haiti #miracles #hope #love #grace #truth #freedom

2 months agoOver the years, I’ve had the honor of serving some of the most incredible people in our country, veterans. I have a collection of coins gifted to me from retirement ceremonies, promotions, anniversaries, and one Change of Command. I can’t fully express how humbling it feels when a member of our armed forces shakes your hand, and you feel the cold edges and outlines of the Challenge Coin pressed between our hands. It’s pretty emotional. Since High School, I’ve always had a deep care combined with a high level of respect for our servicemen and women. They inspire me. Today is a great day to thank a Veteran. To honor them for their sacrifices. To highlight their willingness to fight for the greater good. To volunteer to lay down their lives for others. To pray for them and get involved with organizations that focus on helping them in their time of need. Two great ones are Team Tinker Home Away From Home and @foldsofhonor To all my friends, veterans and active duty. I love you. I respect you. I pray our Heavenly Father shows you his favor and gives you his peace. #veteransday
