5 months agoCongrats to @cheatersbasketball for winning the 2024 #DrewLeague Championship. 🏆 The Mecca Cheaters staged an improbable comeback from down 16 points with under 5 minutes to go, giving #TheDrew faithful a finish they won’t soon forget. 🍿 Championship Game MVP @demar_derozan finished with 54 points, 11 boards, and 3 dimes in the win. 🔥🔥🔥 🫡 to @souljasbasketball. Those dudes had the Cheaters on the ropes and put on a hell of a show themselves. @bigbean.3 is a future face of our league and @__0dj__ and @thewamster_5 showed why they are seasoned pros! 3 years agotook a minute for me to post because I wanted to make sure I was 100% certain. Anyways, I have decided to step away from playing basketball. I’d like to just give a quick shoutout to my family and coaches. You all helped me use the 🌎 greatest game to change my life and take me places I never dreamed about. Mom&Dad especially for the sacrifices, rides and late nights with tears, I am forever indebted. The Relationships and Memories I have built through this great game are lifelong and for that I am eternally grateful. If we played together or competed against each other, you brought the best out of me and for that I cannot thank you enough. From St Denis to St. Joe’s and everything in between, if you supported me, thank you from the bottom of my heart I truly appreciated it. P.S, dont let anyone tell you somethings impossible. We never really fall, we simply have minor setbacks that prep us for major come-ups. Everything happens for a reason. We may not understand it now, but God does and that is all that matters. 5 years agoCon gran orgullo y satisfacción culmino mi bachillerato en Administración de Empresas con concentración en Mercadeo en la mejor institución universitaria de PR. Estos 5 años en mi amada IUPI fueron de mucho aprendizaje y procesos en los cuales me hicieron crecer como persona. 5 años que nunca olvidaré y los llevare en un lugar especial en mi corazón. A todos mis compañeros que me regaló la IUPI, que a algunos puedo llamar hermanos, gracias por aceptarme y compartir momentos inolvidables. Al equipo de tenis de mesa, los amo y son mi orgullo no importa el resultado. A mis compas de la AMA, no los cambio por nada y los aprecio un mundo. A los profesores que fueron más que profesores, gracias por ayudarme a formarme. A los atletas que se pasaban en el complejo, gracias por pasar buenos momentos desde los 50 hasta los juegos en la gallera. En fin, no me caben palabras para poder describir todo lo que siento y lo mucho que me va a hacer falta la IUPI. Pero la vida continúa y tengo metas por cumplir, los cuales gracias a la IUPI, cada vez están mas cerca.
