2 months agoThis is definitely our biggest project to date. To think it started from a sub event in Alfie’s, another one of our bars, is surreal.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Eatflix, we describe it as a 5D tasting experience where you eat and drink what you see on the screen. We’ve made menus for some of our favourite films and just recently sold out all our Home Alone Christmas showings in under 12 minutes.
This got us thinking… Is there scope to do this on a bigger scale all year round? Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Easter, anything we wanted. The opportunity with films is endless.
I spoke to Ollie about it and he started to look at industrial units we could kit out, whilst looking we stumbled across this amazing venue in the heart of Newcastle. An old ballroom dance hall with some of the most beautiful features I’ve ever seen inside a building.
In true Brack Brothers fashion, we dived straight in and I’m thrilled to tell you today, the venue officially became ours; meaning we are about to bring you the North East’s first purpose built 5D taste cinema. Coming February 2025.
