8 months agoMommy… I did it! We first embarked on this journey together in 2015 when you took me to the pharmacy summer program in Houston. You have always believed in my dreams and supported me in any way possible to ensure I achieved them. From taking me on a college tour and falling in love with Hampton University to pushing me to gain experience within the pharmacy profession to supporting me throughout pharmacy school while you battled the biggest fight of your life. We also talked about this day and how we would celebrate together however God had different plans and today isn’t quite how we envisioned it. At my Bachelor’s graduation, you were such a proud mom and I was hoping that I would be able to see that beautiful smile on your face again today. I know you’re in heaven looking down and I pray your heart is filled with joy. This is the best Mother’s Day gift I could ever give you. So as I walk across the stage all though absent in flesh, I know you will be present in spirit. Happy Mother’s Day, your babygirl is officially a DOCTOR! THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!
