3 months agoJoe Wolf: My friend, my mentor, my family, and most importantly, an amazing human being.
9.26.24 marked an extremely sad day for basketball, and an even sadder day for those of us fortunate enough to know Joe off the court as well.
Words can’t describe how horrible I’m feeling about your passing. I knew you for over a decade but it feels like I knew you my whole life.
When you did me the favor of joining me on my staff, you did so much more than coach. You guided me through my first season as a head coach and taught me so much. I was able to coach with a great comfort because I knew I had you next to me on the bench. I didn’t know the clock was running out at the time, and I don’t think I ever thanked you enough.
I will miss our daily phone conversations and your infectious sense of humor. I wish I could call you one last time to say thank you again.
To everyone else you were a basketball legend, but to my kids, you were simply their Uncle Joe-Joe.
You will be forever missed. May you rest in peace 💔🕊️
