4 months agoUntil next year, @nhcarnivalldn! 🌟
10 years ago, my mum decided to start selling food at Notting Hill Carnival. Inspired by her hustle and seeing a gap in the market, I knew I wanted to create something of my own. In 2019, with no clear idea of what the future held, I took the bold step to launch my own food stall—@chipnjerk
Five years later, I’m blown away by how far I’ve come. Being recognized by @bbclondon and featured on @bbcnews as the most successful stall at Carnival is surreal; I used to watch BBC religiously after school, never imagining I’d one day be featured. And then there’s the article in @twisted —one of the first food pages I ever followed—that reignited my love for food.
I’m truly humbled and grateful for everyone who has supported Chip n Jerk and been a part of this journey. My love for cooking grows year by year, and I can’t wait to see where this passion takes me next. Here’s to the future and all that’s yet to come! 🙏
