5 months agoFor those that couldn’t see this on TV, this is a historic moment for Greece and all of the Olympics. @giannis_an34 being the flag bearer of Greece and the first to black athlete kick off the parade carrying his country’s flag since the inception of the modern Olympics in 1894, has redefined what it means to be an immigrant, a citizen and given hope to so many young children who long to rise above their circumstances and live a better life.
