Liberals are failing their own moral standards. If Donald Trump’s victory is really the end of the republic—if it’s going to lead to unspeakable evils visited upon our fellow citizens—then you have a moral obligation to do more than just make angry noises. But most of them won’t.

I should say a majority in the Senate and a (hopefully) likely majority in the House, since we don’t know yet. Point is, if he’s really going to end democracy, then what are you going to do about it? Sit back and feel sorry for yourself? It’s remarkable how demoralized they are.
