Writing down your investment thesis (even if it’s just a few lines in a word doc somewhere) is an excellent way to get better when buying. Auditing your sell decisions is also a way to get better when selling. Both are ways to hold yourself accountable. That’s the real key.

Sept 25th is the official record day for the South Bow spinoff. TC Energy $TRP.to shareholders as of that day will get shares of both companies. First day South Bow shares $SOBO.to will trade is Oct 2nd. So don't be alarmed if there's some funky stuff happening that day.

Probably my favourite thing about the stock market is someone that knows a stock right to the tiniest detail can easily be outperformed by some tourist who nails the thesis after 20 minutes of research.

I've found a good rule of thumb is whenever a company announces a "transformational" acquisition my default reaction is to be especially cautious. These things are *really* hard to execute -- even for companies with a history of making deals.
