2 months agoShooting last night had me reminiscing, because it’s officially been a year since I picked up a camera and shot my first basketball game in this same arena. It was a University of Cincinnati’s men’s game, even though I truly had no business being credentialed at that point lol.
I still have imposter syndrome more days than not, but trying to take more time to soak it all in and be proud of the progress. I’ve had so many incredible opportunities over the past year but even more important — have such an incredible network of other creators and athletes I’ve met.
A couple years ago I was stuck in a job I hated and was constantly stressed, and now, at the age of 32 I feel like I’ve finally stepped into my calling. You’re not too old and it’s not too late. 🫶🏼
Many of you have been asking for advice lately, and although I am far from an expert, here is what I would say — and this goes for any industry. Keep on saying yes to every opportunity that comes across your plate. You may not know now why it was important, but in retrospect you’ll always see why. God has plans for you bigger than you can imagine, so stop playing small.
And to all of those who have supported me this past year, thank you doesn’t even cut it. Too many to tag but love you all!
